UniProt | |
Immunogen | This antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with αKdo(2→4)αKdo(2→4)αKdoBSA. |
Application Notes | An ELISA was performed on neoglycoconjugates using the mouse version of this antibody, it showed the strongest binding to αKdo(2→4)αKdo(2→4)αKdo and αKdo(2→4)αKdo(2→4)αKdo(2→6)βGlcNAc. ELISA was also performed on LPS antigens and bacterial antigens using the mouse version of this antibody, it bound most strongly to Chl. psittaci EB and Chl. psittaci LPS (Brade et al, 2000; pmid:11521056). The scFv version of this antibody was used for an ELISA on neoglycoconugates, the antibody bound to 2.4/2.4PS4P and HS4P quite well but bound less well to 2.8/2.4PS4P (Gerstenbruch et al, 2010; pmid:20022906). |
Antibody First Published | Brade et al. A monoclonal antibody recognizing the 3-deoxy-D-manno-oct-2- ulosonic acid (Kdo) trisaccharide alphaKdo(2-->4)alphaKdo(2-->4)alphaKdo of Chlamydophila psittaci 6BC lipopolysaccharide. J Endotoxin Res. 2000;6(5):361-8. PMID:11521056 |
Note on publication | A monoclonal antibody (mAb) S45-18 was generated against a synthetic neoglycoconjugate containing the trisaccharide alphaKdo(2-->4)alphaKdo(2-->4)alphaKdo (Kdo, 3-deoxy-Dmanno-oct-2-ulopyranosonic acid) which represents a structure of the lipopolysaccharide (LPS) from Chlamydophila psittaci 6BC. |
