Application Notes | To characterize the mouse version of this antibody a set of binding assays was preformed on cells from NSCLC tissues from biopsies or pleural effusions. First, ELISA was preformed with this antibody. Then and radioimmunoassay and then finally flow cytometry was preformed (Hellström et al, 1986; pmid:3731064). Furthermore an immunohistochemistry experiment was preformed to asses the ability of the mouse version of this antibody to bind cancer tissue. The tissue used for the immunohistochemistry was tumor and normal tissue from humans (Hellström et al, 1986; pmid:3731064). Finally immunoprecipitation was preformed on cultured NSCLC cells which had been selected for expressing the antigen defined by a given antibody (Hellström et al, 1986; pmid:3731064). The ability of the original mouse version of this antibody to supress the was tested on L-2981 tumors grafted unto nude mice. The result showed a significant decrease in tumor growth or even disappearance (Hellström et al, 1986; pmid:3462743). |
