Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-3548 |
Name | Anti-Ebola Nucleoprotein mAbs [KZ51](MABL-3548) |
Clone No. | KZ51 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IP, WB, ELISA, IF |
Species Reactivity | EbolaVirus (Zaire, IvoryCoast, Reston, Sudan) |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds to the nucleoprotein of four Ebola virus strains and has a specificity found in convalescent patients. No cross-reactivity with other proteins (e.g. GP) was detected by radioimmunoprecipitation. |
Alternative Name | NP; Ebola NP; EBOV NP |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | This antibody was derived from a human survivor of the 1995 Kikwit outbreak of Ebola. |
Application Notes | This antibody is broadly cross-reacting between different Ebola strains and competes with antibodies naturally occuring in covalescent patients. By IF, this antibody has higher reactivity towards fixed virus than to live virus - though both may be detected. It has also been used as a positive control in the development of anti-Ebola polyclonal goat antibodies (Boisen et al. 2015). |
