Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing Lama glama with aztreonam conjugated with human serum albumin. The peripheral blood lymphocytes of the llama were used to generate a VHH library and the specific antibody was selected by panning the library against aztreonam-KLH conjugate. |
Application Notes | The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. This antibody in combination with an anti-omalizumab antibody E5 was used in the generation of a bispecific antibody for determination of allergy against the aztreonam antibiotic (PMID: 34931798). |
