Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody recognises an epitope in the membrane most distal domain (D1) of SIRP alpha. It crossreacts with other SIRPs. |
Alternative Name | Tyrosine-protein phosphatase non-receptor type substrate 1; SHP substrate 1; SHPS-1; Brain Ig-like molecule with tyrosine-based activation motifs; Bit; CD172 antigen-like family member A; Inhibitory receptor SHPS-1; Macrophage fusion receptor; MyD-1 antigen; Signal-regulatory protein alpha-1; Sirp-alpha-1; Signal-regulatory protein alpha-2; Sirp-alpha-2; Signal-regulatory protein alpha-3; Sirp-alpha-3; p84; CD172a |
UniProt | P78324 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunisisng BALB/c mice with an eukaryotically expressed SIRPα-Fc fusion protein consisting of the extracellular domain and emulsified with complete Freund’s adjuvant and followed by two subsequent boosts of SIRPα-Fc fusion protein emulsified with IFA (Lee et al., 2007). |
Application Notes | SAF10.1, can be used to detect SIRPs in a wide variety of tissues and cell types. For instance, this antibody was successfully used to detect SIRPs from COS7.2 cell lysates via Western blot (Lee et al., 2008). |
Antibody First Published | Lee et al. Novel structural determinants on SIRP alpha that mediate binding to CD47. J Immunol. 2007 Dec 1;179(11):7741-50. PMID:18025220 |
