This antibody is specific for human KRT19.   KRT19 is involved in the organization of myofibers. Together with KRT8, helps   to link the contractile apparatus to dystrophin at the costameres of striated   muscle.

This antibody was raised panning against a library created by immunizing llamas with either breast cancer biopsy lysates.

Application Notes

To help identify the target of this antibody   immunoprecipitation was preformed on T47D cells using the VHH version of this   antibody bound to streptavidin beads. Further the ability of this antibody to   be used for breast cancer research was assayed using immunohistochemistry. In   short, breast cancer tissue was stained using the VHH version of this   antibody. Finally to characterize this antibody. An ELISA was preformed using   the VHH version of this antibody on KRT19 (Even-Desrumeaux et al, 2012;   pmid22772166).

phage display libraries from animals immunized with breast cancer biopsies were generated.These libraries were used to isolate sdAbs against known and relevant antigens such as HER2, or several cancer-specific sdAbs against unknown targets.
