The original antibody was raised by immunizing a mouse with CD50.
Application Notes
The original version of this antibody was used to immunophenotype mast cells through flow cytometry, while studying the cell surface markers of human skin mast cells. (Ghannadan et al., 1998; PMID:9764855). This antibody was used to block CD50, to determine the effect of the CD50 protein on PMN attachment (Sud'ina et al., 2001; PMID:11672437). This antibody was able to stain CD50 in a immunohistochemistry experiment on psoriasis tissue. This experiment was performed to study the mechanism of action of methotrexate (Yazici et al., 2005; PMID:16215763).
