Cat. No.
MABL-1016
Application
IP, Block, FC
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Mouse
Clone No.
OX-78
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
OX-78 binds specifically to CD48 targets and labels mouse thymocytes, B and T cells and macrophages. CD48 is a CD2 ligand and may be involved in the facilitation of interactions between activated lymphocytes. This protein is also likely to be involved in T cell activation.

UniProt
P18181
Immunogen
OX-78 was prepared by immunising rats against mouse CD48.
Application Notes
This antibody binds CD48, and has been used in immunoprecipitation and blocking studies to identify and characterise CD48, the ligand for murine CD2 (Kato, 1992). This antibody is able to block the binding of a chimeric molecule comprised of the extracellular domain of mouse CD2 and human IgG1 Fc to T cell lines at the ligand site.
