Clone No.
MB19-1
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody recognizes murine MB19-1 (CD19), a transmembrane protein present in B lymphocytes that regulates its activation. It is required for proper differentiation of B-1 cells.
Alternative Names
B-lymphocyte antigen CD19; Differentiation antigen CD19; B-lymphocyte surface antigen B4; B4; CD19 molecule; CD19 antigen
UniProt
P25918
Immunogen
This antibody was raised by immunising CD19-deficient mice with a cell line of mCD19+ mouse pre-B cells.
Application Notes
This clone can be used to detect and analyze the presence of the CD19 transmembrane protein. The specificity towards the protein has been confirmed using ELISA and immunofluorescence (Sato et al., 1996; PMID: 8906812). Additionally, the MB19-1 antibody has been used in several flow cytometry assays. One group used this antibody to determine the differences in CD19 distribution between cells of young and old mice (Yamamoto et al., 2018; PMID: 29625072). Another group used it to differentiate eosinophils from other leukocytes (Vanella et al., 2017; PMID: 27043413). A final group used flow cytometry to determine the fraction of B cells cells in a sample with this antibody (Bedaret et al., 2009; PMID: 19907079).
