Immunogen
This antibody was raised by panning the CAT library against ADAM17.
Application Notes
The original antibody was used for flow cytometry on different variants of ADAM17 (Peng et al., 2016; PMID:27610476), and on T4-2 cells (Rios-Doria et al., 2015; PMID:25948294). This antibody was used for surface plasmon resonance on ADAM17. This antibody was used for biolayer inferometry on ADAM17 (Peng et al., 2016; PMID:27610476). This antibody was used in vivo on mice with implanted tumors, it showed the ability to strongly decrease the tumor growth and volume. The influence of this antibody on TNF alpha shedding was assessed, it inhibited the shedding. A similar experiment was also perform for EGFR ligand shedding and yielded similar results. This antibody was used for ELISA on ADAM17 (Rios-Doria et al., 2015; PMID:25948294). This antibody was added to NK cells and NK92 cells stimulated with different tumor cell lines, it showed that the antibody blocks ADAM17 activity in NK cells but not the activation of ADAM17. The antibody was also shown to enhance IFN gamma production in NK cells (Mishra et al., 2018; PMID:29978334). This antibody was used in vitro in tumor spheroids generated from chicken embryos, the antibody was used in combination with irradiation to treat the tumor. This antibody was used in vivo on murine tumor models established by injecting A549 cells in mice, it was used in tandem with irradiation. The antibody showed inhibition of the tumor growth (Tschanz et al., 2021; PMID:36860547).
