This antibody recognises methylglyoxal (MG) and is specific to MG-modified proteins, lipids and nucleic acids. 3D11 does not cross-react with CML, CEL, or other AGE epitopes.

Application Notes
3D11 antibody is recommended for the identification of methylglyoxal (MG) from various sources, such as foods, serum, tissues, cells and others, in order to evaluate the concentration of AGEs. ELISA with this antibody has been established as a very effective method in the assessment of the amount of AGE - methylglyoxal in various tissue and food samples (Cai et al., 2012; Vlassara et al., 2002).
