Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-125 |
Name | Anti-Synaptotagmin-3 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-N278/19 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ICC, WB |
Species Reactivity | Rat, Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for the synaptotagmin-3 protein. The antibody does not cross-react with other Synaptotagmins. Synaptotagmin-3 is a Ca2+ sensor involved in Ca2+-dependent exocytosis of secretory vesicles through Ca2+ and phospholipid binding to the C2 domain. |
Alternative Name | N278/19R; Synaptotagmin III; SytIII |
UniProt | O35681 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein amino acids 442- 533 (cytoplasmic C2B domain) of mouse Synaptotagmin-3 |
Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of Synaptotagmin-3 by immunocytochemistry and western blot. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect Synaptotagmin-3 by western blot in extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with GFPtagged Synaptotagmin or untagged Kv2.1 plasmids. |

Note on publication | This article describes the generation of a library of recombinant monoclonal antibodies (R-mAbs) from a pool of mAb-producing hybridomas for neuroscience research. |
