Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-124 |
Name | Anti-Synaptotagmin-12 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-N277/7 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ICC, WB, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Rat, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for the synaptotagmin-12 protein. The antibody does not cross-react with Synaptotagmin-6 (or other Synaptotagmins). Synaptotagmin-12 is a synaptic vesicle phosphoprotein that enhances spontaneous neurotransmitter release but does not effect induced neurotransmitter release (By similarity). Unlike other synaptotagmins, it does not bind Ca2+ or phospholipids (By similarity). |
Alternative Name | N277/7R; Syt12; Synaptotagmin XII; SytXII |
UniProt | Q920N7 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein amino acids 168- 255 (cytoplasmic C2A domain) of mouse Synaptotagmin-12 |
Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for the detection and analysis of Synaptotagmin-12 by immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry and western blot. For instance, the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect Synaptotagmin-12 by western blot in extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with GFP-tagged Synaptotagmin plasmid. |
