Specificity | This antibody can recognize antigens expressed on the cell surface of human ovarian, cervix, breast, colon, melanoma and other carcinomas. This antibody does not react with normal human tissues. The epitope recognized by this antibody is different from the one recognized by another similar antibody CR4E8. |

Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by fusing regional lymph node lymphocytes from a patient with ovarian carcinoma with cells of the hybrid myeloma line SPAZ4. |
Application Notes | This antibody immunoprecipitated a 32 kD polypeptide from lysates of the ovarian tumor cell line SKOV3. Cell surface immunofluorescence determinations using the fluorescence activated cell sorter revealed that this antibody stain ovarian or cervix carcinoma tumor cell lines (PMID： 7756578). Immunoperoxidase staining with this antibody of nonpermeabilized cryostat sections of freshly obtained or cryopreserved ovarian carcinoma specimens and human ovarian tumor xenografts demonstrated strong reactivity of these specimens. This antibody mediated complement-dependent cytotoxicity and identified a 32 Kd band in western blotting and immunoprecipitation experiments conducted on surface labelled SKOV3 cells. The association constant for the IgM version of the antibody was determined at 2.3 x 10^(10) M^(-1) (PMID： 2032733). |
