Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-398 |
Name | Anti-Amiloride mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- BA7.1 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | immunoblot, ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody is specific for the 3,5-diaminopyrazinyl moiety of amiloride. Analogs with a benzyl on the 5-positition of the pyrazine ring or with the subsitution of an iodo for the chloro group in the 6- position of the ring don't bind. An analog with a benzyl substituent on a terminal nitrogen of the guanidinium group has an affinity for the antibody similar to amiloride. |
Alternative Name | |

Immunogen | The antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with an intraperitoneal injection of an amiloride analogue coupled to BSA. |
Application Notes | The antibody has been characterised using immunoblot analysis (Lin et al. 1994) and ELISA. |
Antibody First Published | Kleyman et al. Distinct epitopes on amiloride Am. J. Physiol. 257 (Cell C1135-C1141, 1989 PMID:2481976 |
