Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for a3 domain of mouse H-2Kd MHC class I. Involved in the presentation of foreign antigens to the immune system. |
Alternative Name | H-2 class I histocompatibility antigen, K-D alpha chain; H2-K1; H-2K(D) |
UniProt | P01902 |
Immunogen | this antibody was raised against the mouse a3 domain of H-2Kd MHC class I antigen. |
Application Notes | A dot blot was preformed with this antibody on strain MW98-8C of the yeast Kluyveromyces luctis with single Ala substitutions of the native Kd molecule (Abastado et al, 1993; pmid:8376793). This antibody was used for flow cytometry on spleen cells from a Balb/c (H-2Kd) mouse (Bjornson et al, 1999; pmid:9915700). H-2Kd molecules were immunoaffinity-purified from 1.4 × 1010 IFN-γtreated NIT-1 pancreatic β cells using this antibody (Lieberman et al, 2003; pmid:12815107). RMA-S/Kd cells were immunostained with this antibody (Lieberman et al, 2003; pmid:12815107). grafted organs and spleens from C57BL/6 mice were used for immunohistochemistry using this antibody (Brown et al, 2011; pmid:21401861). |
Antibody First Published | Abastado et al. Differential role of conserved and polymorphic residues of the binding groove of MHC class I molecules in the selection of peptides J Immunol. 1993 Oct 1;151(7):3569-75. PMID:8376793 |
Note on publication | A set of 17-point mutants of H-2Kd was produced as secreted single-chain MHC molecules in the yeast Kluyveromyces lactis |
