Name | Anti-1-4 beta-d-galactan mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-XD3 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Zinnia elegans |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody recognises (1→4)-β-d-galactan. The epitope recognised is present on the primary wall of tracheary-element precursor cells, but absent from mature tracheary elements. |
Alternative Name | 14bdGal; (1→4)-β-d-galactan |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | This antibody was isolated from a phage-display library raised against a cell wall fraction of Zinnia elegans xylogenic culture cells. Cell wall fractions were isolated from Zinnia mesophyll cells that had been cultured either in a differentiation-inducti |
Application Notes | Whole-cell ELISA against cultured plant cells has confirmed that this antibody is differentiation-specific, as the epitope recognised by this antibody increased specifically on cells cultured in a differentiation-inductive medium but not on those cultured in a noninductive medium (Shinohara et al, 2002).Equally, this antibody has been shown in ELISA analysis to recognise (1→4)-β-d-galactan in a pectic fraction (Shinohara et al, 2015). |
