Application Notes | Both B10 mAb and scFv were demonstrated to detect eukaryote ribosomal P proteins with a high specificity demonstrated by the alanine-scanning mutagenesis of peptide R13 (López Bergami et al., 2003). Consequently, this antibody can be used in the detection of ribosomal P proteins in various eukarote tissues. Finally, anti-P protein antibodies are observed in certain pathologies, such as Trypanosoma cruzi infection and SLE, and thus B10 antibody might be utilised as a model for the investigation of the immunology of these diseases (López Bergami et al., 2003). |
