Name | Anti-pp60Src mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- GD11 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | IP, WB, IF |
Species Reactivity | Birds, Mink, Rat, Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for pp60src. It recognizes this protein in avians, humans and different rodents. It recognizes amino acids 82-169. Pp60src is a non-receptor protein tyrosine kinase which is activated following engagement of many different classes of cellular receptors including immune response receptors, integrins and other adhesion receptors, receptor protein tyrosine kinases, G protein-coupled receptors as well as cytokine receptors. |
Alternative Name | Proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase Src; SRC; Proto-oncogene c-Src; pp60c-src; p60-Src |
UniProt | P00523 |
Immunogen | The mouse version of this antibody was generated by immunizing a mouse with recombinant chicken pp60src. |
Application Notes | To confirm wether a 60,000-Mr phosphoprotein was pp60src, an immunoprecipitation was preformed using the mouse version of this antibody. Furthermore, PrARSV-infected CE cells were immunostained using this antibody (Parsons et al, 1984; pmid:6205164). To determine wether pp60src is present in human T cells, an immunoprecipitation and subsequent western blot were preformed using the mouse version of this antibody on human T cell cultures (Branch and Mills, 1995; pmid:7535811). Proteins from fetal rat lung cells were immunoblotted using the mouse version of this antibody (Liu et al, 1996; pmid:8636139). While researching store-mediated Ca2+ entry, a western blot was preformed on human blood cells using the mouse version of this antibody (Redondo et al, 2005; pmid:15894173). |
Antibody First Published | Parsons et al. Monoclonal antibodies to Rous sarcoma virus pp60src react with enzymatically active cellular pp60src of avian and mammalian origin J Virol. 1984 Aug;51(2):272-82. PMID:6205164 |
Note on publication | The derivation and characterization of 22 hybridoma clones producing monoclonal antibodies (Mabs) specific for the transforming protein of Rous sarcoma virus, pp60src, are described. |
