Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-2540 |
Name | Anti-Oestrone-3-glucuronide mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-4155 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody binds to E3G with an affinity of 10 nM. |
Alternative Name | E3G |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | Human E3G. |
Application Notes | The antibody is specific for Oestrone-3-glucuronide (E3G), a urinary metabolite of 17β- estradiol, a hormone secreted by the developing ovarian follicles. The monoclonal antibodies can be used clinically to detect levels of E3G in urine samples of women, providing a non-invasive test for determining the fertile period, indicating the time of ovulation. The antibody also has a lower affinity (1 nM) for estriol 3- (β-D-glucuronide), which differs to E3G by a single hydroxyl group. |

Note on publication | Describes the production the monoclonal antibody 4155, which can be clinically useful in the detection of steroid glucuronides concentrations in samples of early morning urine, indicating the fertile period in the females menstrual cycle. |
