Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody recognises NADPH oxidase 2 (Epitope EKDVITGLK). The antibody cross-reacts with PDIA3. |
Alternative Name | NOX2; CYBB; flavocytochrome b; Cyt b; Cytochrome b-245 heavy chain; CGD91-phox; Cytochrome b(558) subunit beta; Cytochrome b558 subunit beta; Heme-binding membrane glycoprotein gp91phox; Neutrophil cytochrome b 91 kDa polypeptide; Superoxide-generating NADPH oxidase heavy chain subunit; gp91-1; gp91-phox; gp91phox; p22 phagocyte B-cytochrome |
UniProt | P04839 |
Immunogen | The antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with Cyt b. |
Application Notes | The antibody detected gp91phox by western blot analysis (Burritt et al., 2003; PMID: 12794137 and Bechor et al., 2015; PMID: 25699251). This antibody was used for detection of gp91phox by flow cytometry. The specificity of the antibody for gp91phox was further confirmed by phage display epitope mapping. The antibody inhibited the NADPH oxidase activity before or during the initial stages of electron transfer (Burritt et al., 2003; PMID: 12794137). |
