Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1945 |
Name | Anti-IgA mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- H15A43 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | WB, ELISA, purification |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is a recombinant alternative to another anti-human IgA antibody HISA43. It is specific to heavy chain of human IgA and shows minimal cross-reaction with heavy chains of other immunoglobulins. It reacts with constant domain 3 (CD3) of both subclasses IgA1 and IgA2 of the human IgA heavy chain. |
Alternative Name | IGHA1; Immunoglobulin alpha; Immunoglobulin heavy constant alpha 1; Ig alpha-1 chain C region; Ig alpha-1 chain C region BUR; Ig alpha-1 chain C region TRO; HISA43; HISA-43 |
UniProt | P01876 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with human IgA myeloma protein or human parotid saliva. |
Application Notes | The specificity of this antibody to the CH3 domain of human IgA was determined using western blotting (PMID: 3093370). This recombinant antibody can be used to determine sIgA in a sample using ELISA (PMID:1872572). It can be used for the affinity purification of IgA from serum (PMID: 16395264). |
Antibody First Published | Biewenga et al. Production and characterization of pepsin fragments of human IgA1 to determine domain-specificity of monoclonal anti-IgA antibodies. Immunology. (1986); 59(1):153-8. PMID:3093370 |
Note on publication | Describes the generation of a similar antibody to H15A43. |
