Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1868 |
Name | Anti-HLA-G mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- mem-G/9 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ELISA, FC, IF, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Human |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds an epitope in the alpha 1 domain of human HLA-G. It binds the native form of human HLA-G1 on the cell surface as well as with soluble HLA-G5 isoform in its beta2-microglobulin associated form. It is also reported to cross react with HLA-G3. |
Alternative Name | HLAG; HLA-6.0; HLA-G5; HLAG-6; HLA class I histocompatibility antigen alpha chain G; HLA G antigen; MHC class I antigen G; human leukocyte antigen |
UniProt | P17693 |
Immunogen | The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with native, properly folded, beta-2- microglubulin (b2m)-associated HLA-G. |
Application Notes | This antibody is not suitable for detecting denatured human HLA-G protein in a western blot. This antibody can be used for the detection of soluble HLA-G in a sample using ELISA (PMID: 10902607). This antibody can effectively detect HLA-G and HLA-G3 on K653-HLA-G1, K562-G3 transductants, M8-HLA-G1 and JEG-3 cells in a flow cytometric analysis (PMID: 12590976; 22738368). This antibody was also used for studying the expression of HLA-G on the surface of JEG-3 cells using immunofluorescence staining (PMID: 22738368). This antibody can be used for immunohistochemical analysis of cryopreserved serial sections of trophoblast tissue. This antibody is not suitable for immunohistochemical staining of paraffin sections (PMID: 12590976). This antibody was also reported to be used in isolation of HLA-G+ cells for prenatal screening (PMID: 35498932). |
