Application Notes | The binding specificity of BB7.2 towards HLA-A2 was assessed using complement- mediated cytotoxicity and cellular radio binding assay. This antibody is cytotoxic for peripheral blood leukocytes and lymphoid cell lines. The original IgG2b version of this antibody binds HLA-A2 positive cells with a binding or avidity constant of about 5 x 108 liter/mol (PMID:7035415). This antibody was used to detect HLA-A*0201-PR1 complexes using western blot and ELISA (PMID: 17493346). This antibody was also used to detect HLA-A2 complexed with pol, gag, and EBV peptides using ELISA (PMID:8562505). This antibody was used to screen human leucocyte antigen (HLA)-A2 haplotype-positive HBV patients using flow cytometry (PMID: 16108766). This antibody was also used for the immunofluorescent staining of HLA-A2.1 molecules on the cell surface of human processing defective cell line (T2) (PMID:7684681). |
