Application | NTRL, WB, ELISA, FC |
Species Reactivity | DENV4 |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody recognises domain I and II of the envelope (E) protein of DENV4 only, shown by ELISA and Western blot. |
Alternative Name | DENV EI/II; Dengue envelope protein domain I/II; E protein domain I/II; DENV EDI/II; EDI/II; DV 22; DV-22 |
UniProt | |
Immunogen | Antibody DV22 was isolated from peripheral blood mononuclear cells collected from a patient diagnosed with dengue infection. |
Application Notes | DV22 has been used in cell-based assays and was shown to exhibit neutralisation and antibody-dependent enhancing activity using Vero and K562 cells (Beltramello et al, 2010). This antibody has also been characterised as EDI/II-specific by ELISA and Western blot. When generated as a LALA variant and supplied as a cocktail with two other anti-DENV mAbs, DV22 showed a complete lack of antibody- dependent enhancement (ADE) activity, whilst retaining the ability to neutralise DENV infection. |
Antibody First Published | Beltramello et al. The human immune response to Dengue virus is dominated by highly cross-reactive antibodies endowed with neutralizing and enhancing activity. Cell Host Microbe. 2010 Sep 16;8(3):271-83. PMID:20833378 |
Note on publication | Describes the characterisation of a large panel of anti-DENV mAbs isolated from DENV-infected patients. |
