Immunogen | The original antibody was raised by immunizing mice with a mixed leukocyte culture. |
Application Notes | The original version of this antibody was used for immunofluorescence on T cells, B cells and non lymphoic cell lines (Juan et al., 1993; PMID:8325327), on thymocytes (Martinez-Caceres et al., 1996; PMID:9008304), and on peripheral blood stimulated or unstimulated cells . Furthermore this antibody was used for flow cytometry on thymocytes (Martinez-Caceres et al., 1996; PMID:9008304), on peripheral blood stimulated or unstimulated cells (Vilella et al., 1990; PMID:1710077), and on T cells (Vilardell et al., 1998; PMID: 9672149). This antibody was also used for immunoprecipitation on PMBCs to determine whether CD50 and ICAM-3 are the same protein (Juan et al., 1993; PMID:8325327), and on peripheral blood stimulated or unstimulated cells to prove that 101–1D2 and 140–11 recognize the same molecule (Vilella et al., 1990; PMID:1710077). This antibody was used for immunohistochemistry on human neoplasms to study the expression of CD50 (Terol et al., 1996; PMID: 8946680). |
Antibody First Published | Vilella et al. Involvement of the CDw50 molecule in allorecognition Tissue Antigens. 1990 Nov;36(5):203-10. PMID:1710077 |
Note on publication | The original paper shows that 101–1D2 and 140–11 recognize a different epitope of the same molecule. |
