Application | RIA, FC, IF, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Rat |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody binds to CD43, which is expressed on lymphocytes. |
Alternative Name | Leukosialin; sialophorin; Leukocyte sialoglycoprotein; Ly-48; Ly48 |
UniProt | P13838 |
Immunogen | Rat thymocyte membrane glycoproteins injected into BALB/c mice. |
Application Notes | This antibody detects CD43 on lymphoid cells, and can be used to label thymocytes, lymphocytes from the bone marrow and thoracic duct lymphocytes (Williams et al, 1977). Similarly, W3/13 can be used in immunohistochemical staining, enabling the elucidation of the cellular organisation of lymph nodes (Barclay, 1981). |
