Specificity
This antibody recognises human CD8. CD8 is a cell surface receptor expressed either as a heterodimer with the CD8 beta chain (CD8 alpha/beta) or as a homodimer (CD8 alpha/alpha). CD8 is a T-cell co-receptor involved in the recognition of MHC class I molecules. It is present on cytotoxic/suppressor T lymphocytes.

This antibody was raised against mouse L cells transfected with human CD8 gene as immunogen.
Application Notes
YTC 141.1HL antibody is recommended for the immunohistochemical and flow cytometric identification and analysis of CD8-positive cells. For instance, this antibody was used to immunohistochemically stain skin sections to investigate the composition of the inflammatory infiltrate perfusing the tissue (Yawalkar et al., 2000). Finally, YTC 141.1HL synergistic with Ab01039.
