MABL-1109
Application
functional assay, WB
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
AT105-1
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody specific for the extracellular domain of human CD79b human CD79b. CD79b is required in tandem with CD79A for initiation of the signal transduction cascade induced by the B-cell antigen receptor complex which leads to internalization of the complex, trafficking to late endosomes and antigen presentation.
Alternative Names
B-cell antigen receptor complex-associated protein beta chain; CD79B; B- cell-specific glycoprotein B29; Ig-beta; Immunoglobulin-associated B29 protein
UniProt
Immunogen
The mouse version of this antibody was raised by immunizing a mouse with the extracellular domain of CD79B.
Application Notes
Expression of CD79b in Raji, Daudi, and EHRB B-cell lines and the EHRB transfectant clones 9 and 12 was determined with a western blot using the mouse version of this antibody (Cragg et al, 2002; pmid:12384401). To stimulate HEK293 cells transfected with a AttBR4 site during a SHIP-1 recruitment assay the mouse version of this antibody was used. The antibody did manage to increase folding is some situations (Stopforth et al, 2018; pmid:29351998). To further our understanding of CLL biology, a western blot was performed on lysed isolated B-cells and CLL cells using the mouse version of this antibody (Johnston et al, 2018; pmid:29367434).
