CY1788
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for E-selectin. E-selectin is a cell surface receptor that mediates the binding of neutrophils, monocytes, and some types of memory T cells to the endothelial cells that line blood vessels.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by replacing the murine variable regions of the monoclonal antibody CY1787 with human sequences.
Application Notes
The original version of this antibody (human IgG4) was generated, and its binding efficiency to a soluble form of E-selectin was compared to that of the parental mouse antibody via competitive ELISA. It demonstrated 65% of the binding efficiency of the parental clone. Additionally, this antibody inhibited the in vitro binding of human neutrophils to activated human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) in vitro as effectively as the parental antibody (WO1996040942A1).
