This antibody recognises CD23, which is a low-affinity receptor for immunoglobulin E (IgE) and CR2/CD21. Has essential roles in the regulation of IgE production and in the differentiation of B-cells.

This antibody was raised by immunising mice with with an EBV-transformed human B cell line from a patient with MHC class II deficiency re-expressing class II antigens.
Application Notes
CD23 is a B-cell-specific marker and thus this antibody can be utilised in the identification and analysis of B-cells and B-cell-derived cancers.
