From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody binds to an epitope on the extracellular domains of the mouse FcγIII and FcγII, thereby inhibiting their ability to bind antibodies via their Fc region. receptors. Also binding the FcγI receptor (CD64) via its Fc domain.

Immunogen
Mouse BALB/c Macrophage J774 Cell Line.
Application Notes
This antibody binds murine Fc Receptors CD16/CD32 and inhibits binding of antibodies to these. It can therefore be used as an Fc-blocking reagent, to reduce non-specific staining of cells by antibodies binding via their Fc-region. A similar effect can be achieved using the Fc Silent range of antibodies made by Absolute Antibody that prevent these interactions at the level of the Fc receptor binding site, which has been mutated to lack affinity for the Fc receptors.
