Specificity
This antibody binds human and cynomolgus monkey CD147. CD147 is a type I membrane glycoprotein and is classified into the immunoglobulin-like superfamily, and is expressed in many types of cancer. It is suggested that CD147 is also associated with cancer metastasis, invasion, and chemical drug resistance.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with extracellular domain of CD147-His and 50 μg / head, 100 ng / head of pertussis toxin in Freund's complete adjuvant.
Application Notes
The binding specificity of this antibody for human and cynomolgus monkey was determined using ELISA. This antibody was shown to interact with CD147 expressed on Raji cells and HSC-F cells in a flow cytometric analysis. This antibody was also reported to show anti-tumor effects in tumor- bearing mouse model of K562 cells, which is a chronic leukemia cell line and in tumor-bearing mouse model of SW480 cells, a colon cancer cell line. This antibody also showed CDC and ADCC activity against CD147 bearing cancerous cells (WO2017061602).
