Cat. No.
MABL-724
Application
RIA, WB, FC, IHC-Fr
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Rat
Clone No.
OX-47
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
This antibody is specific for rat CD147, which has a broad distribution; OX-47 labels T and B cell blasts, peritoneal macrophages, the endothelium of all except large vessels and kidney tubules, but does not label TDL and thymocytes.
Alternative Names
Basigin; BSG; extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer; EMMPRIN; Glycoprotein CE9; OX-47 antigen
UniProt
P26453
Immunogen
Mice immunized with rat T blasts from a mixed lymphocyte reaction between purified CD4+ T cells and irradiated spleen cells.
Application Notes
This antibody binds mouse CD147, and has been used in FC and IHC-fr analysis to characterise CD147 and detect the cell types on which it is expressed, indicating that CD147 is a lymphocyte activation marker (Paterson, 1987). This antibody failed to give immunoprecipitates from radiolabelled activated T cells.
