Application Notes
The specificity of the antibody for Bax was determined by ELISA analysis. The antibody was able to bind to mitochondrial Bax and WT Bax by western blot analysis. The antibody immunoprecipitated Bax (Iyer et al., 2016; PMID： 27217060). The crystal structure of the Fab fragment in complex with BAX was determined. The antibody activates mitochondrial Bax, but blocks translocation of cytosolic Bax (Robin et al., 2018; PMID： 30122452).
