The original antibody was generated immunizing a BALB/c mouse with atrazine and then expressing the antigen binding domain in a transgenic Nicotiana tabacum plant as an scFv with human C- kappa constant domain and a hexa-histidine tail.
Application Notes
This antibody is expressed as up to 0.014% of soluble leaf protein and has a binding profile in ELISA, against an atrazine-bovine serum albumin (BSA) conjugate. It is also reported to bind free atrazine as well as related triazine herbicides (PMID: 9685621).
