Specificity
This antibody is specific for the extracellular domain of human recombinant transmembrane_x0002_truncated (DTM) αvβ8 integrin, a dimeric cell surface protein that mediates cell attachment. αvβ8 integrin promotes the activation of latent TGF-β, as well as inhibiting tumor cell growth.

This antibody was raised by immunizing rabbits, isolating B cells from the immunized rabbits, and fusing these with a rabbit plasmacytoma cell line (established by Spieker-Polet et al., 1995) to produce stable hybridomas.
