This antibody was raised by immunizing balb/c mice subcutaneously with 8-OH-adenosine conjugated to keyhole limpet hemocyanin.
Application Notes
8A9 is recommended for the detection of 8-OH-Adenosine. In an inhibition experiment it was tested wether a ligand for 8-OH-adenosine could inhibit the binding of this antibody to its antigen. It was shown that a concentration betweeen 1 and 5 um ihibits the antibody binding to its antigen (US6900291B2). The ability this antibody to detect 8-OH-Ade lesions in physiological DNA was tested. A dot blot was used to test this (US6900291B2). This antibody was tested for binding to 8-OH-adenosine conjugated BSA in an ELISA on 96-well Probind plates (US6900291B2).
