Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-137 |
Name | Anti-NSD3 mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD-N348/82 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ICC, WB, IHC |
Species Reactivity | Rat, Human, Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | This antibody is specific for NSD3 epitope: amino acids 21-251 (N-terminus) of human NSD3. NSD3 preferentially dimethylates 'Lys-4' and 'Lys-27' of histone H3 forming H3K2me2 and H3K27me2. H3 'Lys-4' methylation represents a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation, while 'Lys-27' is a mark for transcriptional repression. |
Alternative Name | N348/82R; Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase NSD3; Nuclear SET domain-containing protein 3; Protein whistle; WHSC1-like 1 isoform 9 with methyltransferase activity to lysine; Wolf-Hirschhorn syndrome candidate 1-like protein 1; WHSC1-like protein 1 |
UniProt | Q9BZ95 |
Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising BALB/c mice with a fusion protein amino acids 21- 251 (N-terminus) of human NSD3 |
Application Notes | This antibody is recommended for detection and analysis of NSD3 by immunocytochemistry, immunohistochemistry and western blot. For instance the mouse version of this antibody was used to detect NSD3 by western blot in extracts of COS cells transiently transfected with HA- tagged NSD1, NSD2, NSD3 or untagged Kv2.1 plasmid. Furthermore it was also used to detect NSD3 by immunohistochemistry in adult rat hippocampus. |
