Specificity
This antibody binds to bovine beta-lactoglobulin, a member of the lipocalin protein family. It binds to an epitope in the beta-sheet strucutre that is not part of the most antigenic area of Bos d 5 accessible for IgG antibodies, but it may have overlapping areas with minor antigenic sites.
