Specificity
This antibody binds the extracellular domain of the human PSMA. Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) is a type II integral membrane glycoprotein belonging to the M28 peptidase family. It acts as a glutamate carboxypeptidase on different alternative substrate. It is highly expressed in cancerous cells and is used as an effective diagnostic and prognostic indicator of prostate cancer.

Application Notes
This antibody can be used to detect mouse PSMA using flow cytometry. This antibody was used in the development of a bispecific antibody targeting mouse EGFR and mouse PSMA (PMID: 32569598). This antibody was also used in the generation of an IgE bispecific antibody targeting mouse EGFR and mouse PSMA. It was also demonstrated that this IgE bispecific antibody had superior antibody- dependent cell toxicity–mediated cell killing in comparison to IgG bispecific antibodies (PMID: 35718062).
