Specificity
This antibody binds human glypican-1, which is a cell surface proteoglycan that bears heparan sulfate. This protein is required for skeletal muscle differentiation. Glypican-1 (GPC1) was significantly expressed in serum exosomes of patients with pancreatic cancer and so GPC1 is considered as a tumor marker for pancreatic cancer.

The original antibody was generated by immunizing mice with human glypican-1.
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody to human glypican-1 was determined using ELISA. This antibody was used as a capture antibody in a double antibody sandwich ELISA for the detection of glypican-1 in exosomes. The detection antibody was an anti-glypican 1 rabbit polyclonal antibody (CN111187350).
