Description
PIGR Human produced in Sf9 Baculovirus cells is a single, glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 629 amino acids (19-638 aa) and having a molecular mass of 68.9 kDa. PIGR is fused to a 6 amino acid His tag at C-terminus and purified by proprietary chromatographic techniques.

Introduction
Polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (PIGR) is responsible for transcytosis of soluble dimeric IgAs and immune. PIGR binds polymeric IgA and IgM at the basolateral surface of epithelial cells, then the complex is transported across the cell to be secreted at the apical surface.cytokines, hormones, and pathogenic stimuliregulate PIGR expression. The expression of PIGR is critically regulated by the pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-1, IL-4, TNF-α, and IFN-γ.

Sterile Filtered colorless solution.
Formulation
PIGR protein solution (1mg/ml) containing Phosphate-Buffered Saline (pH7.4) and 10% glycerol.
Stability
Store at 4°C if entire vial will be used within 2-4 weeks. Store, frozen at -20°C for longer periods of time. For long term storage it is recommended to add a carrier protein (0.1% HSA or BSA). Avoid multiple freeze-thaw cycles.
Purity
Greater than 95.0% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
