Immunogen | This antibody was raised by immunising DBA/2 mice with cardiac myosin purified from BALB/c mouse hearts. |
Application Notes | The reactivity of this antibody with mouse cardiac myosin and GlcNAc-BSA has been confirmed in ELISA analysis (Malkiel et al, 2000).The affinity of this antibody for myosin is higher than its affinity for GlcNAc-BSA (Malkiel et al, 2000). Administration of this antibody induces autoimmune myocarditis in DBA/2 mice, but not BALB/c mice (Liao et al, 1995). Equally, in immunohistochemical analysis, this antibody has been shown to be deposited throughout the hearts of DBA/2 mice, but not BALB/c mice (Liao et al, 1995). |
