Specificity | This antibody binds human IL-6. Interleukin-6 is a multifunctional cytokine which regulates immune responses, hematopoiesis, tissue regeneration, and inflammatory reactions. Dysregulation of IL-6 is known to be involved in the inflammatory pathways of several autoimmune disorders such as rheumatoid arthritis, Castleman's syndrome, idiopathic juvenile arthritis, neuromyelitis optica spectrum disorder, autoimmune epilepsy and others. |

Application Notes | The original rabbit IgG antibody binds human IL-6 with a high affinity and has a dissociation constant (Kd) of 7.80 X 10 ^(-10) M. A combination of AbAb01-IL6 and AbAb02-IL6 can be used in a double antibody sandwich ELISA, where AbAb01-IL6 is used as a capture antibody and AbAb02-IL6 is used as a detection antibody. The sensitivity of IL-6 detection for this pair was reported to be 10pg/ml (10ng/L) (CN112175080). |
