Key features and details | |
Cat. No. | MABL-1325 |
Name | Anti-cytochrome C mAbs |
Clone No. | AFD- R1D3 |
From | Recombinant Antibody |
Isotype | Engineer antibody |
Application | ICC |
Species Reactivity | Mouse |
Basic Information | |
Specificity | The antibody is specific for cytochrome c. The antibody binds to a variety of oxidatively modified cyt c species, such as nitrated at Tyr74 or oxidized at Met80, which lose the sixth heme ligation (Fe-Met80); it does not bind to several cyt c phospho- and acetyl-mimetics. |
Alternative Name | cyt c; Cytochrome c somatic |
UniProt | P62897 |
Immunogen | |
Application Notes | The antibody was employed to identify alternative conformations of cyt c in cells under oxidant- or senescence-induced challenge as confirmed by immunocytochemistry (Tomasina et al., 2022; PMID: 36378644). |
Antibody First Published | Tomasina et al. De novo sequencing and construction of a unique antibody for the recognition of alternative conformations of cytochrome c in cells Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2022 Nov 22;119(47):e2213432119. PMID:36378644 |
