Specificity
This antibody binds human chromodomain-helicase-DNA-binding protein 4 (CHD4). It is a component of the histone deacetylase NuRD complex which participates in the remodeling of chromatin by deacetylating histones. Patients with dermatomyositis develop antibodies against this protein. Somatic mutations in the gene that encodes this protein are associated with serous endometrial tumors.

Application Notes
The binding specificity of this antibody to human CHD4 was confirmed with ELISA. This antibody was also used in the immunofluorescense staining of 6 human cell lines (PMID: 26290498).
