Cat. No.
MABL-411
Application
WB, ELISA
Isotype
Engineer antibody
Species Reactivity
Human
Clone No.
A5A3
From
Recombinant Antibody
Specificity
The antibody is specific for human annexin XI. Annexin XI binds specifically to calcyclin in a calcium-dependent manner and it is required for midbody formation and completion of the terminal phase of cytokinesis.
Alternative Names
Annexin A11; 56 kDa autoantigen; Annexin-11; Calcyclin-associated annexin 50; CAP-50
UniProt
P50995
Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing a barnevelder chicken with an antibody antigen cocktail comprising recombinant purified human antigens annexin XI, CENP-B, Topo, Jo-1, Ro60, Rpp38 and U1A in complete Freund's adjuvant. B cells that were harvested from the bone marrow and peripheral blood lymphocytes of immunized chickens was used to generate recombinant scFv phage display libraries. The specific clone was identified by panning the library against specific antigen.
Application Notes
The binding characterization of this antibody was done using ELISA. This antibody is also capable of recognizing human annexin XI in a western blot assay (Hof et al., 2008; PMID: 18062792).
