Specificity
This antibody cross reacts with several avian lysozymes. It can recognize hen egg lysozyme, pheasant egg lysozyme, Guinea fowl egg lysozyme, and Japanese quail egg lysozyme.

Immunogen
The original antibody was generated by immunizing BALB/c mice with hen egg lysozyme.
Application Notes
The binding reactivity of this antibody to egg lysozymes from hen, pheasant, Guinea fowl and Japanese quail was determined using surface plasmon resonance (PMID: 8356074). This antibody was used in a sandwich ELISA for the detection of hen egg lysozyme (PMID: 2448386).
